buildGRT is a service operated by MightyIQ Inc., a company incorporated in Nova Scotia, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our websites at lead.buildgrt.com and trade.buildgrt.com. We are committed to compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Nova Scotia privacy legislation.

1

Accountability

MightyIQ Inc. is responsible for all personal information under our control, including information we share with third-party service providers acting on our behalf. We have designated a privacy contact responsible for our compliance with this policy and applicable law:

Privacy Officer โ€” MightyIQ Inc.
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
[email protected]

When we engage third-party service providers to process personal information on our behalf, we ensure they provide comparable levels of protection through contractual or other means.

2

What we collect

We collect personal information only by fair and lawful means and only to the extent necessary for the identified purposes.

Application information (required to process your application)

When you submit the application form, we collect:

  • Contact information: full name, email address, phone number (optional)
  • Business details: business name, type of trade or service
  • Location: city or town, province or territory
  • Website status: whether you already have a website and its URL (optional)
  • Stated goal: selected from a fixed list (e.g. "Get more enquiries")
  • Submission metadata: which form and website you submitted from, submission timestamp

This information is necessary to assess and respond to your application. Submitting the form constitutes consent to this collection.

Analytics information (optional โ€” collected only with your consent)

With your consent, we use Mixpanel to collect anonymised usage data about how visitors interact with this website. See Section 4 for details.

We do not collect payment card information through the application form. We do not collect sensitive personal information such as health data, social insurance numbers, or financial account details. See Section 4 for information about the analytics and advertising measurement tools used on this website.

3

Why we collect it

PIPEDA requires us to identify the purposes for which we collect personal information before or at the time of collection. We use your information solely for:

  • Responding to your enquiry โ€” reviewing your submission and reaching out to discuss how buildGRT can help your business
  • Internal routing โ€” ensuring your enquiry reaches the right team member
  • Service communications โ€” updates directly related to your enquiry or service agreement. You may opt out at any time by emailing [email protected]
  • Service improvement โ€” understanding which types of businesses we serve, done in aggregate only (no individual profiling)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or any other commercial purpose. We will not use your information for new purposes without obtaining your explicit consent.

4

Analytics and tracking

This website uses two third-party tools to understand how the site is used and to measure the performance of advertising campaigns. Both tools are activated only with your consent.

Mixpanel (product analytics)

We use Mixpanel, provided by Mixpanel Inc. (San Francisco, California, United States), to understand how visitors navigate the site and interact with the application form.

When you consent to analytics, Mixpanel may receive:

  • Page view: that you visited the site
  • Device type: mobile or desktop (derived from screen width โ€” not your device ID)
  • Marketing attribution: UTM parameters from the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content) if present
  • CTA interactions: which button you clicked and where on the page it appeared
  • Application progress: which step of the form you reached and whether you completed or abandoned it
  • Aggregated application data: business category, province, whether you have an existing website (true/false), and your stated goal (from a fixed list)

We do not send your name, email address, phone number, business name, or any free-text input to Mixpanel. Mixpanel uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to store an anonymous identifier. Data is processed in the United States.

Meta Pixel (conversion measurement)

We use the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Menlo Park, California, United States), to measure whether visitors who click our Meta (Facebook or Instagram) ads go on to submit an application. This helps us understand the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

When you consent to analytics and successfully submit an application, the following information may be sent to Meta:

  • Conversion event: that an application was submitted (event name: Lead)
  • Event metadata: timestamp, the page URL, and UTM campaign parameters if present
  • Browser signal: your browser user-agent string (sent server-side to help Meta assess signal quality)

We do not send your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information to Meta through this integration. We have disabled Meta's "Automatic Advanced Matching" feature, which would otherwise automatically send hashed contact details.

Meta may use the conversion signal to attribute ad clicks to application submissions and to optimise future ad delivery. Meta's use of this data is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. Data is processed in the United States.

Your consent choices

Both Mixpanel and the Meta Pixel are optional. When you first visit the site, a banner asks for your consent. If you decline, neither tool is loaded and no data is sent.

You can change your choice at any time using the Privacy preferences link in the page footer, or by clearing your browser's localStorage for trade.buildgrt.com. You may also contact us at [email protected].

Declining or withdrawing consent does not affect your ability to submit an application or use any part of this website.

No retargeting or behavioural advertising

We use the Meta Pixel solely to measure whether ad clicks result in application submissions. We do not use it to build retargeting audiences, serve personalised ads to site visitors, or track your behaviour across other websites. We do not use Google Ads, TikTok Pixel, or any other advertising platform tracking on this website.

5

Where your data is stored

Your personal information is stored on secure database servers operated by Supabase Inc., a third-party infrastructure provider whose servers are located in the United States. As a result, your information is subject to the laws of the United States, which may differ from Canadian privacy law.

Supabase complies with industry-standard security practices, including encryption of data at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+), access controls, and audit logging.

By submitting the enquiry form, you expressly consent to your personal information being transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States for the purposes described in this policy. If you do not wish to have your information transferred outside Canada, please contact us directly at [email protected] instead of submitting the form.

6

How long we keep it

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law:

  • Enquiry records: up to 24 months from the date of your last interaction with us
  • Active client records: for the duration of the service relationship, plus 24 months thereafter
  • Financial records (invoices, payment confirmations): up to 7 years as required by Canadian tax law

At the end of the applicable retention period, or upon your written request, we will securely delete or anonymize your personal information.

7

Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the following rights over your personal information:

  • Access โ€” know what personal information we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed
  • Correct โ€” request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Withdraw consent โ€” withdraw your consent to collection and use, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, with reasonable notice
  • Deletion โ€” request that we delete your personal information where it is no longer required
  • Complain โ€” file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) if you believe we have mishandled your information

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and respond substantively within 30 days. In exceptional circumstances we may extend this to 60 days with notice.

8

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, copying, modification, or disposal. Specific measures include:

  • Encrypted transmission of all data over HTTPS (TLS)
  • Encrypted storage on Supabase infrastructure (AES-256)
  • Role-based access controls โ€” only personnel who need your information to respond to your enquiry can access it
  • Periodic review of our security practices

No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information that poses a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.

9

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, applicable law, or our services. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

For material changes โ€” those that significantly affect how we collect, use, or disclose your personal information โ€” we will make reasonable efforts to notify active clients by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of our websites after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
